The planned project, dubbed Aljada, will encompass 224 hectares, a site acquired from the Sharjah government in early 2017. A “Central Hub” will host retail, entertainment, and other leisure facilities and activities, including, restaurants, a musical fountain, skate parks, an extreme sports center, and a children’s adventure complex.
Aljada will include a business park near Sharjah International Airport, with an estimated 500,000 square meters of office space.
The development is envisioned to eventually be home to an estimated 70,000 residents by 2025, housed in a combination of stand-alone and semi-detached villas, townhouses, lofts, and apartments.
All residential units within Aljada will be available on either a freehold or 100-year leasehold basis to all nationalities.
The first phase will included 272 residential units.
Project development efforts will be led by Arada (UAE). Arada was formed in late 2016. a partnership by and between KBW Investments and Basma Group.
