$1 Billion Mixed-Use Project Planned for Newark

Developers plan a two million SF mixed-use project on a 3.7-acre site in central Newark, adjacent to Newark Broad Street Station.   The mixed-use development is envisioned to include residential, retail, hotel and office components, all anchored by a public plaza.

The project is a redevelopment to repurpose the former Westinghouse property.

The developer is a venture of SJP Properties (based in Parsippany, NJ) and Aetna Realty.   SJP Properties is led by founder and CEO, Steven J. Pozycki.  According to the company’s website, SJP has led the development of more than 25 million SF of commercial properties and thousands of luxury residential units.
